Alcune aspettative confermate, altre no. Come ogni anno le Nomination per gli Oscar fanno parlare tanto anche prima dell’effettiva assegnazione dei premi. L’Academy ha reso note le Nomination per i premi Oscar 2024.
Tra le nomination più importanti, anche quella del film di Matteo Garrone “Io capitano” candidato per il miglior film internazionale. Sotto i riflettori cinematografici del 2023, Barbie e Oppenheimer sono risultati tra i film con più candidature insieme alla pellicola di Martin Scorsese “Killers of the Flower Moon”. Ma come ogni anno non sono mancate le polemiche. Oltre al disappunto, sollevato da molti, per le mancate candidature di Margot Robbie come miglior attrice protagonista e Greta Gerwig in quella di miglior regista per il film “Barbie”, è polemica per la mancata candidatura di Leonardo Di Caprio per il suo ruolo da protagonista nel film Killers of the Flower Moon.
